What a storm!!

I know this is Parker's blog, but we thought you might like to see the results of a pretty strong thunderstorm last Tuesday (7/18/06). The storm rolled in about 10:30 pm with a spectacular lightning show. The wind was bending the trees by 11:00 pm, Ror rememebered to move the cars (we have had several close calls in the past with some large branches falling from this old 40+ foot maple) and I had not even closed the van door (new brandspankingnew van) when a "branch" (you will see it below) fell where the van was. From Wednesday to Saturday we cut up the "branch" (with lots of help from Ror's Dad) into some what manageable pieces, yesterday I finished taking it all to the curb and Today I filled the dumpster with the rest of the tree and the remaining stuff from the October flood.
